Things to do on Inishmore

There is heaps to do on Inishmore.

Festivals

There are festivals throughout the year, including a three-day summer party called the Inishmore Patrun Festival, which celebrates the patron saint of the island, St Enda. This family fun event has all kinds of sports, including tug of war, sandcastle building and a road race, as well as art competitions and the Currach and Galway Hooker regatta.

And plenty more

Apart from the festivals there are lots of things to do. Our island information page has links to local businesses, like bike hire, and goat petting at the island's goats' cheese shop.

Why not take a memento of your visit home with you? There is a local basket maker, hand-knitted Aran jerseys, boutique cheeses, lovely photo-realistic drawings, mosaic artworks and many more objects that will remind you of your stay on Inishmore.
